Not having access to advertisers conversion rates, publishers are left guessing with respect to how their sites perform for advertisers. I suppose Google wants us to err on the side of caution, and remove adsense from our sites that we suspect are not converting well for the advertisers?

Loren Baker over at Search Engine Journal takes the time to document the AdSense ad placement in various types of MySpace pages.
Knowing that Google and MySpace partnered to set this up, there's a good chance that the performance of these ads are tightly monitored, so this could be a study worth checking out.
