Advertise On Social Networks

Another good option for advertising your website is utilizing social networks. There are
two major networks that I would recommend you test. These are the two largest social
networks available on the web. Both have opened PPC advertising to websites looking
to promote their products or services to their users.

Myspace:- https://advertise.myspace.com

Myspace receives millions of visitors per day and is the largest social networking
website. They have recently opened their doors to PPC advertising. Many have reported
good results with their campaigns. One of the good features with Myspace advertising is
the ability to target based on demographics, sex, age etc. You can send highly targeted
traffic to your website.

As you can see they have a 4 step system where you create your ad, target your
audience, set your budget and schedule, and then simply monitor your ads
performance. It’s pretty straight forward.

One thing I would recommend for advertising on Myspace is to ensure your ad is unique
in its approach. When creating your ad graphic it’s best to act as if you are “talking” to
the reader one on one instead of just saying “Lose Weight Now” you can say “I know
you want to lose weight, I can show you how”. The latter is more likely to get clicks as it
interacts to user by speaking to him or her directly.

Facebook:- http://www.facebook.com/advertising

Just like Myspace, Facebook also has an advertising PPC platform. It was launched
before Myspace and has had quite a bit of success. There have been many guides that
tout about how much money can be made through advertising on Facebook.
In a short period after uploading your Facebook ad you can get a flood of traffic. There is
one problem with Facebook though, and it’s that their review team is very selective in
what they approve. It’s best to log into Facebook (register an account) and review the
ads that are being shown. This will give you an idea of the type of ads that can be
shown.

Website Advertising Guide - Advertising with Pay Per Click Search Engines

Let’s start with the more obvious advertising option and that is pay per click search
engines. To make things simple, we’ll first focus on the top tier pay per click search
engines which are Google, Yahoo, and MSN. These three search engines are by far the
largest PPC engines that can deliver a swarm of traffic in a very short period of time.
Let’s analyze some information regarding each search engine.

Google-http://adwords.google.com

Google is considered to be the largest search engine, and as a result should be able to
deliver the most traffic to your website. There is a minimum bid of 0.1 cents per click
with any Google campaign that you start, but there are some keywords that may require
a higher bid. Keep in mind that your actual bid rate will vary based on your quality score.
Before this begins to start sounding confusing, your quality score is simply Google’s
analysis of the relevancy of the page you are advertising. Let’s say you are advertising a
weight loss product, and you’ve placed a bid for the keyword “fast weight loss”. If you
are aiming to get a good quality score, then you should have that keyword within the
page you are advertising. It’s always best to first analyze your keywords, and build a
landing page that is relevant to the keywords you are bidding on. This way your quality
score is high, and it will help you maintain a bid rate that is below your minimum bid
rate.
When you go to the Google’s signup page for Adwords, you’ll see two options for
registering an account.

Business resource: Business related podcasts

Among the many genres or types of podcasts there are some that are have moved beyond the entertainment or plain informational aspect of podcasting (which was very prevalent during its very early years). These new genres have a far more loftier aim – to inform AND help people. There is a whole new wave of podcasts that have adopted this goal and they run the gamut of topics from technology, science, economics, even home improvement. But by far, the podcast type that is seems to be experiencing a massive push in popularity among podcast fans are business podcasts.

Business podcasts are still in its infancy but when it comes to popularity it is considered as one of the most popular on the internet. There may be many reasons why business podcasts have achieved such a high level of popularity in such a short time. One very important reason is that most people (be it “casual” podcast listeners or more experienced businessmen) have a fascination on how to handle a business correctly. Most people have a belief that operating a business is a very hard task and they need all the help they can get in order to make their business run smoothly and successfully. And if they can get that information from business experts then all the better.

Another reason why business podcasts are quite popular is because of the need for self-improvement. There are people who think that since they will be investing some time listening to podcasts then it may as well be about something that will improve themselves personally or professionally.

Business podcasts are also entering the marketing mix of most companies and online businesses. Business owners and marketing professionals have realized that business podcasts are a great way to drum up attention for a business. A podcast about a business’ core market gives the impression that the business is a prime mover in the industry and a source of credible information. This will definitely increase the corporate equity of the business.

Some of the most popular business related podcasts on the internet right now include:

B-EYE-Network - Solution Spotlights – This podcast are all about one on one interviews conducted with some of the top software company executives in different sectors of the industry. The interviews usually revolve around the insights these executives give with regards to products, business and industry trends. The interviewees are considered as some of the most recognized experts and leaders in the industry.

Knowledge@Wharton – this podcast is actually the online research and business analysis journal of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. This program was launched in order to help bring out the knowledge and information that the school possesses to a wider audience.

Manager Tool – this is a very helpful weekly podcast that aims to give listeners the information, tips and advice in order for them to become more effective leaders and managers. Every week, a new tool or technique is discussed in depth so that listeners can be aided in achieving their management objectives.

Google Adwords For Free - 3 Tips And More

While there is no such thing, legitimately at least, as adwords for free, there are many places online that will provide you with a lot of free tips and tricks to get the most out of your Adwords accounts.

But before you head off to Google to do a search there are a few things you need to keep in mind:

1. Adwords is a fairly complicated method for generating traffic. If you follow advice from someone who really isn't qualified it can cost you more than money. If you disobey the terms of service Google has established you might well get banned and that would be very, very bad for business.

2. In order to really master Adwords you will need to find not only the training but you will need to be able to spend money while you are testing your ads. The truth is that no matter how good the training you get is, it will still take time for you to tweak and perfect your ads. During this time you will almost be guaranteed to spend way more money than you make.

3. Google is always making changes to their Adwords platform. In order to get the most out of any tips or tactics you may find online it's important that you make sure that whoever is providing the tips has the most up to date information. You will really screw yourself if you follow outdated information.

Now,when it comes to managing your own Adwords accounts you need to keep some things in mind too. For one thing, you will need to track your results. Many people seem to think that this step is a hassle and they ignore it, but the truth is that you have to know where your clicks are coming from and how much they are costing you. If you try to guess, you will waste a ton of money.

It's important to test all your ads to find out what combination of headlines and body work the best. To do that you will have to make changes to the ad until you can pinpoint the exact right combination.  Make sure that during the testing stage you only make one change at a time. If you change more than one element during your test you won't have any way of knowing which change actually worked.

Don't go into your Adwords account as if you were in Vegas. What I mean by that is don't place all your eggs in one basket, don't blow all your money on one campaign. That never really works. Since you will need to test ads and you probably will make very little, if any, money during the test it's imperative that you set a realistic ad budget and don't go over that budget. That way you'll have enough money to follow through and find the ads that work.

If you really want to do an Adwords campaign the right way you'll probably be better off skipping the adwords for free hype and find a legitimate course that can explain the complexities of pay per click to you.
