Everything going up on Twitter is in the real-time. You can know the latest news and announcements through the world within a seconds, and actually be a part of it.

If you don’t have a Twitter account, I recommend you to create one completely for free.

Why to Use Blogger or Blogspot?

You can see that I use Blogger as my primary blogging source on internet. Between many other similar and popular systems, you might ask yourself why I have choose Blogger for my blogs! On this post I will try to show you my recommendations and stats!

Why to Use Blogger to Blog ?

1.) Completely free – This is of course one of the main reasons why I use Blogger to blog! Of course, many other blogging services are free – but read what you get with Blogger in following text.

2.) Advanced Customization – Blogger allows you to customize your blog the way you want to customize it! It’s little bit complicated to customize (compared to other blogging systems), but you can do much more on Blogger definitely with your site design!

3.) Domain Hosting Support – Blogger is service that allows you to host your own domain name completely for free! Other similar systems usually charge this option – but with blogger you can get it for free.

4.) Space and Limitations – With Blogger you get completely free 1 GB image hosting and not limited bandwidth! That’s very good and enough for 99% bloggers.

5.) Scripts, Widgets and Gadgets – Blogger have collection of some good and quality widgets and gadgets that you can use! Including support for scripts and advertisement codes. Allowing you to fully customize and put on your site whatever you need.

6.) Comments, Moderation, Categories and Archives – Blogger supports comments and comment moderation as long like Categories and Archives – Everything you need to have on your blog.

7.) Secured – Blogger is free hosting service for blogs owned by mighty Google – It’s very secure and trusted service – much more secured than self-hosted systems.

8.) Collaboration Support – Blogger have very good collaboration feature that allows you to have multiple moderators that can post / edit your blog.

Conclusion
Blogger have many advantages to other free-hosting services, as well few misses that should be fixed in near future. I really don’t like blogger SEO functions. By default Blogger doesn’t have any SEO based functions and options – like Wordpress have for example.

Blogger is little more confusing than Wordpress, and it’s not quite good for absolute beginners! Template designs which comes default with Blogger are not professional and they are so oldish! I hope that Google team will fix that in our near future, because with little more improvements they can be much more comfortable and professional.

Monetizing websites with Google's AdSense changed the web landscape

Monetizing websites with Google's AdSense changed the web landscape and allowed thousands of people to consider living offline from online income seriously. The follwoing are Google Adsense tips, links and resources.

Where should I place Google ads on my pages?
The Google "heat map" that shows the zones that they suggest perform best for Google ad placement.

Six AdSense optimization tips for forums
The Google Adsense weblog offers up "AdSense optimization tips for forums", which includes a forum-specific heat map and 5 other tips to getting the most from Adsense in your forums.

Smart pricing and your Adsense account
Jen releases some interesting information about Smart Pricing secret sauce which results in some publishers earning more money for a click while others earn less, with the result being that one poorly converting site can "smart price" an entire AdSense account.
Not having access to advertisers conversion rates, publishers are left guessing with respect to how their sites perform for advertisers. I suppose Google wants us to err on the side of caution, and remove adsense from our sites that we suspect are not converting well for the advertisers?

Inside AdSense: The facts about smart pricing
After this, Google steps up to provide a few facts about smart pricing and how to ensure you're maximizing your revenue. While it does provide some information, I'm not sure it dispells what was reported at the site linked to from above.

100% Google AdSense: Tools, Tips and Resources
A fantastic post covering heaps of tools and articles focused on helping you get the most from the ads on your site or network. If you are not familiar with the links in this article, put some time aside and get to know them and implement or use some of them and hopefully you will notice the difference in your AdSense revenue!

Track Google AdSense Clicks via Google Analytics
A little JavaScript that allows you to track Adsense clicks in Google Analytics. I'm always leery about monkeying with Adsense, and I couldn't find any official Google endorsement of this (i.e. use at your own risk), but the concept is interesting nonetheless.

Looking at Google AdSense Placement on MySpace
Loren Baker over at Search Engine Journal takes the time to document the AdSense ad placement in various types of MySpace pages.
Knowing that Google and MySpace partnered to set this up, there's a good chance that the performance of these ads are tightly monitored, so this could be a study worth checking out.
Loren points out this about the ad targeting: ... I am single and have lived in Brazil and Japan. Most of the ads served to me are for Singles Sites where I can meet Brazilians and Japanese women. That’s some very tight ad targeting by Google.

Google Adsense Section Targeting
A Google Adsense optimization tip that may be worth trying out as it might help to avoid Public Service Ads and off target advertising.
Note that they say it may take up to 2 weeks before our crawlers take into account any changes you've made to your site. I'm assuming this means the addition of these tags. Strange as AdsenseBot tends to be so quick...

Know the Truth, Exposing Myths in Cyber Security

We all know the cyber security is important. Having a good password is important to keep confidential information protected. We know that having an anti-virus, anti-malware and spyware application do wonders especially when you’re connected into a network or the web. Having all those applications is a good thing but we also know that having a correct firewall setting is quite important as well.

However, what most of us don’t know and what we are forced to believe is that having these precautionary measures are just enough. Well they are not. It is time that you know the truth and expose some of the myths cyber security that we have believed for years.

Let’s start of with anti-virus software and your system firewall. Despite what manufacturers say, despite what the advertisements say, despite what some of your friends tell you, no anti-virus software or firewalls for that matter are 100% effective. You need to understand that for one virus creators make malicious codes that are so advanced that an anti-virus application is not yet capable of handling an attack from it.

Despite the regular updates released by anti-virus software companies, they cannot foresee what kinds of virus will come out next month or the month after that. They can only provide their customers with protection based on the virus that they know off and the potential virus that could come out. As mentioned or implied earlier, the best way to have a degree of protection is combine the technologies together. Have separate virus software installed and keep a strong firewall active. Although, there might be a problem with some applications not working well together but conduct your won research and see which software works well together.

It is also important to know that not because you have installed an application that’s the end of it. You see you will need to get the patches or updates that manufacturers release. These patches or updates are fixes on some little or sometimes big inconsistencies or bugs in the application. This is very important for anti-virus applications especially.
Look into your installed application and see it there is a n automatic updating option, which there usually is, that allows you to automatically receive updates whenever manufacturers release a new version or an upgrade of the system.

Also, don’t believe that just because you have mainly personal and insignificant information in your computer that it’s not worth protecting at all. Please bear in mind that what you think is not important can turn out be quite useful for hackers. Every bit of information you have in your computer, email or any other system can be manipulated and used by hackers to access more of your confidential information or use it to gain some profit. Even if you keep your files in a computer not connected to any network, the one that a hacker gains access to can be used to attack other computers or cause problems with other systems.

Not being rich is not a good enough reason of being attacked as well. Hackers and identity thieves will grab any opportunity that they come across with. If they can get you personal information easily, they will do so and think about how they can use it for their personal gain and believe me, they will think of a way.

After we exposed some of these myths and now you know the truth cyber security, I hope you get a renewed conviction regarding cyber security.

Cyber Security Tips And Guides(Training):

Despite the economic turmoil, reports said that cyber security professionals take home relatively high pay. It appears that companies see the benefit of investing in information and data security. While this can’t drive business expansion, it can at the very least protect their businesses from further downhill glide and help them get by until the economy rises back to life.

This only proves that a cyber security career is not only lucrative but also timely. But you don’t become a certified cyber security professional that easy; knowledge of computer and technology is not enough. You have to undergo cyber security training.

But how do you start? What’s the first step? Start by looking for potential training school. Fortunately, many schools join the hype in cyber security and offer certificate and degree programs. Gather as much information as you can, then start comparing. As much as possible, avoid enrolling in online schools. Potential companies need to see evidence of your actual training, and online training can hardly give them that. Learning from books is good as well, but again, you need to build your expertise under the mentorship of physical teachers who can guide you through the ropes of security jobs in an interactive setting.

Of course, you will find that some schools are more expensive than the others. Take note, however, that costs are highly based on the mentors’ expertise, laboratories, and facilities. If you find a school rather expensive, check if the teachers are experienced practitioners and do not merely echo what is written in the book. Remember, this is a skill training, and impartation of skills is necessary here.

Make sure as well that the laboratories and classrooms are well equipped, the machines and equipment modern, and the training location highly conducive to learning. Higher price translates to better service; this is the general rule.

After considering everything, here comes the hard part—actual learning. The best schools, teachers, and equipment are all secondary; the most important thing is your eagerness and dedication to learn. Make extra effort to supplement your training with research and consistent practices. If you need to setup a network at home to further study and employ what you’ve learn from your training, do so.

You sure will encounter errors and problems along the way, but these encounters are often good opportunities for learning. Research as much as you can. Get good books. The idea here is to learn more by immersing yourself in real-life scenarios.

You can also do volunteer work for small-scale businesses or non-profit organizations. There is a two-fold benefit to doing this. First, you can gain experience in a more professional setting. Second, these organizations are credible references in your future job application.

After passing your training, get active in looking for potential employment. But don’t get frustrated if you don’t immediately get into your dream company. Sometimes companies bank on years of experience, so to take this as an opportunity to gather more working experience. Start by offering your services to companies within your area.

Do not stop learning. Cyber security training is just the start. After this, you are on your own to feed your mind and hone your skill. Attend conferences if the opportunity arises. Consistently meet with other security professionals.

This way, not only will you be learning, you can also meet a lot of people who will either be willing to work with you or offer you employment opportunities.

Why do People Network Over a Network?

People's lives nowadays are focused on one thing, catching up to everyone else. Everything is fast paced when it comes to career, opportunities and relationships. People barely have the time to stop and look around them to assess what they have and what’s going on in the world. Because of this hyped up and fast paced way of life people are barely connected with the people that matter the most.

Some friends and family never really know what is going on with each other. There is a solution to all of this and it’s what they call social networking, the question is why do people network in a network?

There are a lot of reasons why and here’s a short list of the reasons why:

1. Know new people. Just about every social networking websites says meet new people and the fact of the matter is that it’s what it’s actually all about. Meeting new people over social networking websites is the primary objective of having social networks. It’s like speed dating, people meet people assess if they like them or not and add them in their network of friends. It’s a great way of finding out how small the world is.

2. Finding lost friends. If there’s a cheap way of finding a long lost friend it’s through social networking websites, it’s because people hate being left behind in all the techie stuff that they make their own network. One of the features that a lot of social networking websites have is the “how are you connected” feature. It shows you the link that goes back to the person who introduced you to that person that you have on your network. Another feature is the “friends you have in common” feature, this allows you to see who are the people you have in common in your network. And chances are if you have someone in common it’s easy to look for somebody else.

3. Chat away. If you got nothing better to do with your life, chat the day away. Forums or discussion boards on social networks are available for those people who have a lot to say but have nobody to talk to. I know it’s sad right…because of the power of freedom of speech everybody has the right audience to listen into what you got to say.

4. Be part of an interest group. One of the good things about social networking websites is that there’re always people who share what you like to do. Crazy as your hobby may sound there’s bound to be a few people doing what you do. Not so special anymore right? And all along you think that you’re weird because you like collecting stamps so you can lick them, but on second thought wouldn’t it be better to belong.

5. Blog. Blogging or weblogs are the current replacement of a journal. It’s a little space in cyberspace where you get to rant as much as you like, write poetry, curse at people, curse at the government, curse at the Idol judges, shares your thoughts on almost anything and everything under the sun.

6. Post your face in cyberspace. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a place where you can put all of those memories for people to envy? Indeed, social networking is a great way of showing off to your friends what you’ve accomplished and what other things you like to have.

How To Create PDF Files For Free

Create PDF files on my computer. The way we are going to do this is to:

  • Create a virtual printer port
  • Print to this new port
  • Capture the printing data, and...
  • Convert it into a PDF file.

Essentially, we create a new virtual printer that outputs PDF files. You don't have to understand what all this means; just follow the instructions below, and all should be OK.

By the way, this works under Windows only. I am using Windows XP, but this works under all versions of Windows (it should anyway...).

Free Software

The software we need is available for free - pure freeware, no adware or spyware. We will need at least 3 pieces of software:

  1. Ghostscript (we will call it GS from now on)
  2. Redmon
  3. Adobe Acrobat Reader (or any other viewer)

Download and install all three programs. Chances are that you already have Acrobat Reader. For this tutorial, I will assume that you have installed GS in C:\gs. The version I work with is 7.04, so I have a directory called gs7.04 in the C:\gs directory. If you use another version of GS, then the numbers will be different.

Installation Steps

In detail, this is what we are going to do:

  1. Create a new redirection port (which will be called RPT:1)
  2. Install a new printer driver to print to the new redirection port
  3. Use the redirection port to capture all of the printing data and send it to GS
  4. Let GS ask us for a file name to produce the PDF to
  5. And let GS produce the PDF file.

The first 3 steps happen in the same process, namely when we install the new printer driver.

Go to Control Panel, and select the Printers folder. If you already have printers installed, you will see them there. If not, it will be empty.

Click on the File menu, and select Add Printer. Follow the wizard, but note the following:

  • Install a local printer
  • Do NOT search for plug and play printers
  • When choosing the port, select 'Create a new port', and select the type to be Redirected Port. You will be asked for a name, just accept the default, but make a note of it. If this is the first time you are installing a redirected port, it will probably be called 'RPT1:'.
  • When you get to choosing the printer driver, you need to make sure you select a postscript capable driver. Also, it would help if the driver can print in colour. The one I like to use is the HP Color LaserJet 8550-PS. Experiment with several if you want. But whichever you choose, I suggest that you tweak the options to make sure it produces the best quality; this is usually called 'enhanced' or 'premium' or 'high quality'.
  • Make sure you are printing to a file

Now you need to create a configuration file. I call mine pdfwrite.rsp, and I keep it in the C:\gs folder. The contents of this file are (just copy and paste from below; change the details to reflect your installation):

-IC:\gs\gs7.04\lib;C:\gs\fonts
-sDEVICE=pdfwrite
-r300
-dNOPAUSE
-dSAFER
-sPAPERSIZE=a4

It is a simple text file. So create a text file, paste the info into it, and then save it. Then rename the file.

The details of how you do the following vary with the operating system, but what you need to do is to configure the port so that:

  • Redirect the port to a program (GS in our case). The full path on my installation:

C:\gs\gs7.04\bin\gswin32c.exe

  • The arguments for the program are:

@c:\gs\pdfwrite.rsp -sOutputFile="%1" -c save pop -f -

Note the final space and dash; they are important.

  • For the output, select Prompt for filename.

Now is a good time to mess with the options a bit to make sure the printer is printing in colour, and that you have selected the maximum printing quality.

The printer is done. You can now rename it to something meaningful, like PDFWriter or something. The file should open in Acrobat Reader without any problems.

Test it by printing out anything.

Business Web Page Design Tips

Business web page design is an important consideration when you are starting your business. There are many options and styles and it can be confusing. What you need to remember though is, regardless of the style you choose, your business web page design must promote your brand.

Business Web Page Design Dos and Don'ts

To be effective your business web page design does not need to be any more than a simple four-page Web site.
Design your business web page as an online brochure.

Use very simple, inexpensive shared hosting.

Do not use anything that has to do with Flash or graphics in your business web page design. These things slow down the loading time and they are not picked up by search engines.

Make sure you have an email address that matches your company Web site domain. In other words, www.companyname.com, emailaddress@companyname.com.

Branding is the key so all elements of your web page design should match.

You must be able to access Web Mail. When considering who will host your business web page design, make sure you can get access to the associated email account via the web. This way you can check your email from any computer just as if you were sitting in your office.

The Bottom Line on Business Web Page Design

Business web page design is an extension of your brand. Do not clutter your web page with unnecessary graphics, fancy videos, Flash or anything else that will slow down the web experience. Make sure that all aspects of your business web page design are coordinated including a matching email address that is accessible by Web Mail. Less is more with business web page design - keep it simple and professional.

What is a Traffic Exchange?

A traffic exchange is a website that lets you generate traffic to your website by visiting other people’s websites. They are generally free to use but most offer various upgrades to help you generate even more traffic.

When you join a traffic exchange the first thing you will be asked is what URL you would like to promote. Once your URL has been validated you can then surf the exchange to earn credits.

Surfing a traffic exchange involves looking at other websites for a set amount of time. As you continue to view websites you earn credits that can be spent to show your website to other members.

You can also earn credits by referring new members to traffic exchanges. When someone joins a traffic exchange from your referral link you will usually earn some bonus credits and also a percentage of the credits that member earns. Having an active traffic exchange downline is an excellent way to generate long-term residual traffic that can grow for years.

There are literally hundreds of different traffic exchange programs operating online. Each traffic exchange offers their own unique twist on how they deliver traffic to your site. Some offer shorter timers or better earning ratios. Some let you play games while you surf or chat with other members. Others offer fast traffic delivery and even ways to earn money while promoting your site.

Traffic exchanges may not be the ideal traffic solution for every website however they have been proven to be an effective form of advertising when used correctly.

What's LinkShare, And Do I Need To Use It?

Online affiliate marketing is one of the most effective, cheapest and fastest ways to promote merchandise. With millions of people getting access to the Internet everyday, there’s a great chance for a merchant to introduce his products and services to a wider market, thereby, maximizing his revenue.
Likewise, affiliate marketing is an excellent way to generate full-time income for a home-based affiliate marketer. For someone who is jaded of going through a grueling eight-hour work routine, affiliate marketing offers a great opportunity to earn big without wearing himself out—physically, mentally and emotionally.

In affiliate marketing, both parties are benefited since as the merchant earns from each item sold, the marketer likewise earns a commission. If you are interested in affiliate marketing but are finding it hard to look for affiliate programs, affiliates or merchants, you can start by checking sites of various affiliate networks. Many affiliate programs in the Internet are being offered through an affiliate program network, which acts as a link between the merchants and individual affiliates.

Among the most popular is LinkShare, it is through it that merchants and affiliates meet. LinkShare maintains and manages affiliate marketing programs for a great number of merchants with various kinds of businesses, products and services. It also has over 6,000 affiliate site members in its network. It gains profit from the set-up fees, monthly account maintenance fees and commissions.

Joining networks like LinkShare can be of great help in establishing your online marketing business. Whether you are a merchant or an affiliate marketer, you need to research well on your partners in order to choose the best for you.
LinkShare provides the facility of acquiring access to a large network of advertisers (merchants) who offer their affiliate programs to publishers (affiliates) who are willing to promote their products. In the same manner, it gives the merchants access to a large network of affiliates who are searching for affiliate marketing opportunities.

LinkShare is especially beneficial for an affiliate in choosing his partners since he can find his options all in one location. It would be easier for him to compare products, commission rates and other benefits given by the merchant. The merchant usually just waits for interested affiliates to sign up in his affiliate marketing program but being in the network increases his chance to promote his products to a larger market, thus, maximizing his potential to gain huge profit.
To help you decide whether to use large affiliate networks such as LinkShare or not, let us try to look deeper into its positive and negative sides. The primary advantage of LinkShare to you as an affiliate is convenience.

As earlier mentioned, you find different pieces of information about your choices simultaneously all in a single location, so you save time and effort looking for affiliate programs or merchants.
It’s also easier to track your business partner’s performance through monthly reports and statements, as well as its sales and commission rates, so you know whether the affiliate program is still worth continuing. If you have signed up for several affiliate programs, you can check all your statistics for each merchandiser you are affiliated with by logging in just once.

LinkShare helps you manage and maintain all records of your visitors’ click-throughs and sales transaction. It takes care of your commissions and gives it to you monthly in lump sum. Especially when you have more than one merchant partner, it would be easier for you to manage your accounts and track your earnings when you are affiliated through a marketing program network. Furthermore, every information you get is accurate and secured, so you are protected from all the risk you might encounter. Above all, you can enjoy LinkShare’s benefits for free. You just have to go to their site and register your website. Instantly, you get access to a great variety of affiliate programs available for you.

So, what’s on the negative side? Although, it is indeed helpful to join affiliate marketing networks such as LinkShare, there are some disadvantages, too.
For one, merchants offer lower commissions to affiliates who partner with them through the third party program network. This because they still have to pay for the use of service and the technology provided by LinkShare.

Direct partnership with the merchant cuts costs of advertising through the network and so the affiliate has bigger potential to earn more. Moreover, it is possible that your payment may be delayed for a month or more since program networks would pay you only after the advertiser or the merchant has paid them. Do you need to use LinkShare or other networks? It depends, actually. You can opt for direct partnership with the merchant, but this choice is not applicable all the time. There are a lot of merchandisers who offer their affiliate program only through affiliate program networks and thus, you have no choice other than joining the network to get into the affiliate marketing program.

So you are faced with “take it or leave it” situation. But LinkShare and other program networks are not that disadvantageous. After all, whether you join it or not, earning big would depend more on your promotional strategies and persistence.

Google Adsense Profits Mixed In With Affiliate Marketing

Are you a webmaster who needs funds to keep your website running? Or is your website the only way for you to earn income? Whichever you are, for as long as you are a webmaster or a web publisher and you need cash, affiliate marketing may work well for you. With affiliate marketing, you may get a lot of cash pouring into your bank account easily. And if your website is rich in great contents and you want to earn more profit, why not get into the Google Adsense program as well?

Why Affiliate Marketing?

Well, simply because affiliate marketing is the easiest and probably the best way to earn profits online, unless otherwise you are a businessman and would rather sell your own products online than advertise other businessman’s products on your site. But even online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates.

Affiliate marketing, simply said, is a relationship or agreement made between two websites, with one site being the merchant’s website and the other being the affiliate’s site. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliate’s site. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into. This would generally mean easy income for the affiliate, as he would do nothing but place the retailer’s ad on his site. This would also be very beneficial for the merchant, as getting affiliates to advertise their products would be a lot more affordable than hiring an advertising firm to promote their products.

There are a variety of methods on how the merchant would compensate the affiliate for his services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply translates to the method by which he would earn easy cash. Among the more common methods of compensation are the pay-per-click method, the pay-per-lead method, and the pay-per-sale method. The pay-per-click method is the method most preferred by affiliates, for their site’s visitor would only have to visit the advertiser’s site for them to gain money. The other two methods, on the other hand, are better preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor would actually buy their products.

Getting much profit on affiliate marketing programs, however, does not depend so much on the compensation method is it does on the traffic generated by your site. A website that can attract more visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs.

What about Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is actually some sort of an affiliate marketing program. In Google Adsense, Google act as the intermediary between the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would simply sign up with Google and provide the latter with text ads pertaining to their products. These ads, which is actually a link to the advertiser’s website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the Google Adsense program.

While one can find a lot of similarities between Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs, you can also see a lot of differences. In Google Adsense, all the webmaster has to do is place a code on his website and Google takes care of the rest. The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be advantageous both for you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being advertised.

The Google Adsense program compensates the affiliate in a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers would pay Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google would then forward this amount to you through checks, although only after Google have deducted their share of the amount. Google Adsense checks are usually delivered monthly. Also, the Google Adsense program provides webmasters with a tracking tool that allows you to monitor the earnings you actually get from a certain ad.

Where else but to profits, profits and even more profits! Affiliate marketing programs and the Google Adsense program simply work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant’s side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites. And if you combine all your profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash.

Adwords Top Tips: Create Your Own Adwords Miracle!

Are you looking to learn how to optimize your ads, increase click through rate, reduce advertising costs and maximize return on investment in one go? The following tips will help you in achieving those aims.

Keeping Track On Your ROI (Return on investment)

This is one statistic that you really need to know. You need to know where your conversions are coming from on a keyword level. Detailed knowledge on this will seriously reduce your advertising costs which into increases your overall profit. Google now provides a useful service from within your Adwords account called 'Analytics' which will provide with this vital information.

How to Improve ROI?

Conversion rates will need to be improved. This can be achieved by:

Traffic Quality – One of the major mistakes that new adword users make is bidding on to general a term. You need to narrow down your keywords. For example, instead of bidding on 'sports car' you may do better to try 'red convertible sports car'. If you can attract more targeted traffic you will have a better chance of converting them into actual sales.

Ad Copy – Try some simple split testing. Test the same ad, but with different headlines. Make sure you click the 'show ads equally' option within your account. This will be an ongoing process that will forces you to gradually write better performing ads.

Landing page – Do you have your own landing page?

If you are only direct linking to the merchants page then this will not apply to you, although landing page is something that you should be looking into. If you do have a landing page you will need to constantly monitor and update. Are people clicking through to your merchant? If not then work must be done on the landing page to remedy this. Try improving your page headline, write better reviews, make links stand out more etc. Maybe you could offer them something free? The point of a landing page is to pre-sell the product to them before they even get to your link!

Discover how you can, with 3 simplest of tips, boost your Adwords click through rates and ultimately income!

I’m not sure why, but many of my clients who place pay-per-click search engine ads like those on Google or Yahoo become obsessed with finding the best keywords and totally neglect other factors in creating a profitable search engine advertising campaign. Often they install so complicated a keyword empire that they can’t psychologically manage any other changes and leave their campaign running in such a way that it costs them way more than necessary.

Don’t let this happen to you! Keep your advertising costs down and your momentum moving toward profitability by following these guidelines for prudent, manageable testing.

1. Compile a small collection of keywords (key phrases, probably) to test for each grouping of ads – let’s say, up to ten. Likewise, before getting started, stockpile a number of different ads to test against each other – let’s say, three to eight ads.

2. Set up the campaign with two or three ads tested against each other for each set of keywords. Google lets you do this automatically. Simply create additional text ads and they’ll rotate them for you until you say otherwise. Google also shows you the click-through rate, cost per click and number of clicks for each ad.

3. You don’t usually need your ads to show up on top, so put in a bid per click that according to Google’s keyword traffic estimator puts you at about the #7 position – showing on the first page of results, but not at the top. Set your maximum spend per day rather high, however, which according to the experts tests better than the opposite.

4. When you have at least 100 clicks on your best performing ad, delete the poorest performing ad and insert another ad to test in its place. Keep testing three ads in rotation until you have a clear winner.

5. Then, when you’ve arrived at a better performing ad, begin fiddling with and adding and deleting keywords to your heart’s content.

6. Whenever you’re stuck on what else to do about your keywords, test other elements, always just one change at a time. For instance, try turning “content ads” on and off, changing your maximum bid, modifying your ad copy by changing a word at a time, reversing the order of words or lines, and so on.

While this advice may differ a bit from the mathematically correct procedures of testing, it’s easy for a novice to implement. Search engine advertising conveniently allows you to watch your results and adjust each campaign for optimal performance, so long as you have a system of testing that doesn’t let you feel overwhelmed.

Tips to help you achieve these keys and maximize revenue with AdSense

# 1: It is extremely easy to generating revenue with Google AdSense. After you're accepted to the program, just add a few lines of html code to your site (Google shows you how once you're accepted) -- and voila! Within a few minutes, your site will begin displaying ads, and so you can start making money. Each day you wait means revenue lost. So, do it now.

#2: Create more content pages for your site -- and display ads on these pages. All else being equal, the more pages you have displaying ads, the more money you'll earn. If you already have a website, display ads on more pages. And create more great content pages. It's especially useful if these content pages are very clearly focused. Then, Google will be able to serve highly relevant ads to your visitors. This means your visitors will be more interested in the ads, which results in higher click through rates -- and more money for you!

#3: Whenever possible, use higher paying keywords. Obviously, you'll earn more if the average ad that Google displays pays more per click. The question is: how do you get Google to display higher paying keywords? Let's first talk about what you shouldn't do: Don't create pages on unrelated keywords just because they pay more. In other words, don't create a page on 'valium' on your roof repair site just because 'valium' pays more than 'roof shingles.' You may be wondering how you know what keywords pay best. If you're a Google AdWords advertiser, you can log into your AdWords account and experiment. If you're not an AdWords advertiser, one way to find this out is to use a free tool at the pay-per-click search engine, Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture). This tool allows you to see what advertisers are paying on Yahoo Search Marketing for each keyword. Granted, there are certainly differences between keyword pricing at Yahoo Search Marketing and Google. Yet, this tool can give you a general idea of which keywords will pay more than others.

#4: Create new pages with higher paying keywords (while maintaining relevancy). Sometimes, selecting different keywords on the same topic can create a substantial difference in how much you earn. For example, let's say you have a gardening site and you want to create some new pages. By carefully selecting which topics to focus on first, you can dramatically increase your income. You can use this information to decide which relevant keywords to focus on as you create new pages for your site.

#5: Create a new site on high paying keywords. If you want to create a brand new site to take advantage of Google AdSense, you may want to select a topic with high paying keywords. Then, of course, provide great information on that topic. But how do you know what the highest paying keywords are? One tool you can use comes from the pay-per-click search engine, 7Search. 7Search has a page on the 100 highest paying keywords. Unfortunately, it often 'times out' and gives you an error when you try to access the page. So you may need to be patient and try several times to get this list. An even better suggestion, though, for building a new site is to use Ken Evoy's Site Build It tools. We have now SBI for two successful sites -- it's an excellent tool.
You can find more useful keyword tools on our Internet marketing recommended resources page.

#6: Get more qualified traffic to your site. It makes sense that if you get more qualified visitors to your site, more people will naturally click on the displayed ads, and you'll earn more. We offer some of the best available resources on how to get more qualified traffic to your site on our Internet marketing recommended resources page

#7: Consider creating some pages for high search engine traffic, others to sell products, and still others for Google AdSense. Recognize that different pages on your site can have different purposes. For example, some pages may be designed to sell specific products. Others may be designed to rank high in the search engines (but don't ever try to trick the search engines). Still others can be designed for Google AdSense. Once you know which pages you're creating for AdSense, select an appropriate keyword (or key phrase). Use the keyword as the file name and don't put dashes or any separators between the words . In the example above, you would use the file name 'watergardening.html' for your water gardening page. Ideally, select keywords that are the highest paying keyword on the topic. By tweaking the file name, you may be able to improve your AdSense results dramatically.

#8: Create high quality information pages. An AdSense page should have great content about a very specific topic. Be very clear about what the topic is, and carefully choose the keyword (or key phrase) describing the topic. Never try to 'trick' AdSense. Don't create a page on one topic and give it a file name about a different topic. Above all, make sure the page you create offers great value to people interested in the topic. When you provide excellent information on a specific topic, your visitors will benefit and will be more likely to click through to relevant ads.

#9: Choose the best format. As Google recommends, choose the best performing formats to display your ads. Don't use the Banner format, because people have become "banner blind" to a horizontal format Google has created an excellent page of optimization tips -- check it out.

#10: Display ads prominently. We recommend that you follow the optimization tapes from Google described above. Make sure there is enough "breathing room" -- i.e. white space around the ads -- so that they will easily attract your visitors.

Shorten Your Blogging-RSS Learning and Submission Curve

A blog is a frequent, online publication of comments, web links, and news. It is an online Enzine of sorts. People maintained blogs long before the term was coined, but the trend gained momentum with automated published systems, most notably is blogger.com. Thousands of people use services such as Blogger alone.

So start your blog now and be ahead of the crowd for a change. A secret I'll share with you here before going any further is after you set up your blog goto FeedBurner and follow the instructions to burn your feed. Then publicize your feed by inserting the msn and yahoo chicklets to your blog.
I know it sounds complicated but if you can follow simple instructions and cut and paste it should only take a few minutes. Caution you must be familiar with HTML so as not to make mistakes. If you're not sure ask a friend or if you don't know anyone I'll be glad to assist. This info is for you if you're familiar with the web - if you're a newbie it'll take a bit longer to implement

Once the chicklets are installed onto your blog, login to them using your yahoo and msn id's and add them to your my msn and my yahoo templates. From then on when you make an entry to your blog it'll automatically log itself onto msn and yahoo and broadcast itself to the web in addition to your rss feeds. Once this is done gotoPingOMatic and ping your blog to be indexed within days; not weeks or months.

Here are the reasons you should not ignore Blog advertising:

Remember when all search engines were free, and simply submitting your web sites got you listed quickly? Gone.
Then it was FFA pages, they brought in a ton of free traffic, built links to your site, and added to your mailing list like crazy. Tried one lately? Safelists were an online goldmine for a while... until bottom less email accounts were introduced.

Website sumbmissions now can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks to be indexed. While blogs and rss feeds can be indexed anywhere from 2-8 days which is better for you? So once again I implore you to be one of the first in line and not be last again. This is the new trend just beginning to breakthrough. A few years or months from now you'll be able to sit back and smile as you watch the rest of the net stampeding to catch up.

Summary: How to blog for traffic and sales. Get thousands of incoming links to your sites! Blogs and RSS boost your online business, rankings, traffic, and sales. Blogs for advertising?. Yes! Blogs and RSS boost your online business, rankings, traffic and sales. We all sometimes ignore the trends in advertising on the internet until the masses are allready doing it. That is why I felt compelled to write this article and hopefully help others to understand that Blogs are a very powerful advertising method and you do not want to ignore this trend... you will regret it!

An Adsense - Yahoo Publisher Network Comparison

As more and more people are hosting their own webpage or pages, advertisers have learned how to make contact with the audiences who visit the pages. And not just randomly either; there are now advertising programs that target ads specifically to the site that the person is viewing. They are called contextual advertising programs because they search through the context and content of a page and identify keywords. They return ads to that page that the program believes would be relevant and interesting to the viewer. For example, if you are visiting a website on low fat recipes, you might find ads about low fat products or weight loss products.

Website owners aren’t the only ones using this form of advertising to generate revenue. You’ll see these ads on search engine pages themselves. For example, on Google, the ads appear in a column on the right hand side of the results page. The keywords you enter in the search box are used to target ads to you. Advertisers are hoping that the short ad they supply will lure you to their site, where hopefully you’ll either order their product or use their service.
Website owners can now earn money by allowing contextual advertisers to place ads on their webpages. The more people visit and click the ads, the more money the advertisers will pay to the website owner. Many website owners make a considerable stream of income from these programs. But the ads have to be well targeted in order to get people to click. Which is why right now there is so much excitement about a new contextual advertising program being tested and prepared for the market. Everyone out there making money on contextual advertising is waiting to see if the Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) product will return better results than the leading Google Adsense product.
At the moment, YPN is still in beta testing. A group of users were invited to trial the product and the reviews on blogs and postings all over the web are somewhat consistent on one aspect. As of now, it seems that YPN is not returning ads that are as relevant as the ones that Adsense users are finding. For example, one blogger reported that on a website on PHP programming, YPN returned ads for a florist and for a phone service provider. The blogger couldn’t understand what words the YPN program picked up for the florist. But it was the word ‘hello’ that apparently signaled the ads regarding the phone service.

Additionally, some users have complained that YPN doesn’t seem to update earnings and visitor information as often as Adsense. So website owners have to wait to learn if changes they have made have actually impacted the visitors that they get. However, although neither program will release payment schemes until you register as a user, it seems that YPN is paying more per click than Adsense. But the feeling is that payments will be made more appealing long enough to get website owners to switch from Adsense to YPN, but then prices will even out. Some argue that in the long run it won’t matter if YPN pays more if they can’t improve their ad relevancy because they won’t get the number of clicks from visitors to see a real difference in their earnings.

As YPN is being tested, they are getting opinions and feedback from the participants. So in time, the service may be improved. However, competition for Adsense is a healthy thing. It will force both companies to continually strive to improve their service and offerings so that webmasters can continue to benefit from a healthy stream of income in the future.

Summary: A new contextual advertising program, Yahoo Publisher Network, may be a threat to the market leader, Adsense. But will the program live up to the hopes of webmasters? At the moment, the answer is not clear.

Locate Money Making PLR Content

The most difficult parts of building any content website is writing the content; it’s a laborious task. So why bother doing it at all? Are you aware that many authors who create information products also sell them with Private Label Rights(PLR)? And that in most cases these rights allow you to:

=>Use the contents in other formats.
=>Use the contents in newsletters or websites.
=>Modify the contents to your hearts desire.
=>Put your name as the author and sell the product as is.

Each information product creator who sells their product with Private Label Rights will have their own ideas on how you can use their content. Sometimes they don’t make it very obvious on the sales website or in the product, so double check and make sure you have the right to use the product as content for your website.

Another thing to be wary of is Private Label Rights content that is widely available; if everybody has access to content there’s a pretty good chance there are hundreds of websites using the content which will make your task of finding traffic generating keywords all the more difficult. Besides, nothing annoys a web surfer more than repeatedly coming across the same information.

Try to make sure you buy products with Private Label Rights that have been limited to only a few customers and the fewer the better – The more unique your content the more successful your website will be, especially if you get your Private Label Rights content from Private Rights Success.
