How to Use Videos to Grow Your Business - Online Marketing Secrets

Video Marketing on YouTube, Metacafe and many of the other video hosting sites is a great way to build a web presence and be an unlimited source of FREE leads. People do business from people they know, like and trust. I get hundreds of leads from these sources. These leads also convert at a higher ratio, as people feel that they are more familiar with me because they have seen my videos. The best thing about video marketing is that your message is leveraged and the video falls into the category of one of my favorite marketing practices known as "infinite time". The effort you put into making the video, editing, uploading and writing the description creates a message that can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year from ALL OVER THE WORLD. Someone in Iceland can be watching your message at the same time as someone in New Zealand.

Videos are also a great way to organically increase your rankings with the search engines, as the engines will rank videos triggered with keywords higher than standard pages, as people are very willing to watch videos for information.

The best strategy for video marketing is to create a channel. This will enable you to create a brand, which is also a crucial marketing technique. This is the center of all your video broadcasting. You will be able to create a station that instantly broadcasts all over the world for FREE.

Typically the categories in which you want to create the videos fall into two categories:

1) Generic Guidance-these are designed to address specific issues or questions for others.
2) Specific Information-these are designed to educate very specific goods or services.

A very effective formula is 80%/20%. When your channel is 80% general content that can benefit the general needs of your audience, people will have reason to come back again and again. It is ok to have 20% of your content be informational specifically to you goods and/or services.

Remember, this is a much better ratio than the way we are programmed from television (30 minute show=22 minutes of content and 8 minutes of commercials) and because the videos are an option, the perception is that your channel is totally content driven with no commercials (sales pitches). Of course, the best videos are the ones that offer a solution to a problem that is interesting content in itself.
