This is still by far one of the best techniques for getting good-quality traffic, which has the potential of “converting into customers.” The idea is that, if search engines find your site good enough to list it in the top 10, then it must have some useful information regarding whatever they are looking for!

7) Pay-per-click. Highly expensive and equally misused method of traffic generation! Before you can figure out what’s happening, your competitors would have started clicking on these pay-per-click ads!

8) Directory pages. Well-organized directory pages of related products are a useful resource for visitors and can assure a fairly decent percentage of both one-way and reciprocal links.
