Different issues can’t be avoided even in web designing - Issues On Web Design
Liquid vs. Fixed Layouts: Web designers do not have control over everything when designing a web site. Some of the factors that they do not have control over are browser window (the web browser used), used input devices (such as mouse, touch screen, voice command, and text) and the size and characteristics of fonts available.
However, some designers choose to control the element’s appearance on screen with the use of specific width designations. This may be done with the use of HTML table-based design or CSS. Fixed width design happens when images, texts and design layouts do not change as the browser changes. Supporter of this design prefer to control the look and feel of the site as well as the placement of objects on the page. However, other designers use liquid design, as in Wikipedia. In liquid design, the design moves so that the content will flow on the whole screen or a portion of it. The supporters of this design wishes to use all the available spaces on the web.
CSS versus tables: During the days where Netscape Navigator 4 was the most popular browser, Web designers use tables to layout pages on the web. This was considered as the practical solution then. However, popular as it is, it requires dozens of nested tables even for simple designs.
With the emergence of dominant browsers such as Internet Explorer (which became more compliant to W3C), designers started to turn their attention in using CSS. Proponents of CSS say that tables should only be used for tabular data and not for page layout. In CSS, on the other hand, HTML returns to a semantic set-up. With this, search engines are able to understand what is happening in a web page. But one major downfall of CSS is the fact that control is essentially abandoned because each browser has its own trait which leads the page to have a different display.
So to avoid this stand off, you have to decide firsthand on the approach you will take when designing that webpage, here are some of the key elements you have to bear in mind:
Website Planning: It is important to plan on the kind of website that you would be establishing. Keep in mind the audience or your target market, as well as the purpose for creating the site and lastly, its contents.
Audience: The key step to website planning process is defining your target market or audience. Your audience is the group of people you visualize as the ones who would most likely visit your website. These people will be visiting your website for a purpose so it is beneficial to know the things they are looking for. To help you decide on this, you should clearly define the goal of the site and also understand what people want to feel or do when visiting your website.
Looks vs. Function: Some designers pay more attention on how the site looks rather than on how it works. Some even rely on advertisements, so that clients will find their website, instead of search engines. On the other hand, SEO’s or Search Engine Optimization consultants are concerned with how a web site works, textually and technically. As a result, designers and SEO’s end up having fights because of the differences of their concerns.

Making Your Graphic Designs Stand Out and Shout
Shout it out! Use visuals that make a lot of noise! The human brain is visual, so visuals are crucial to making graphic designs that have a built-in megaphone. The best visual megaphone is color. Wild vibrant color attracts the eye. Use visuals and color to make a statement that is loud and bold.
Visuals come in a lot of forms - original hand done illustrations, stock illustrations, original digital illustrations, stock digital illustrations, original photography and stock photography. The first question to ask yourself when choosing visuals for your graphic designs is, "Is it bold?" The Second, "Does it say what I need it to say?" The third is "Does it stand out?" Be careful of the use of Stock Photography and Illustrations and don't use images that have been overused. Be aware of what looks and images are being used in the graphic designs you see around you in books and magazines and on the web. Try to stay away from those looks and images, or you'll blend in with the rest. And you want to Stand out, Shout it out.
Ask bold questions in your graphic designs. Questions engage the mind, pull people in, and bold ones stay in the memory. Loud, memorable, engaging - that's what you are going for. Engaging questions often remind the potential client of their pain, the problem they need to solve. Of course the solution is the product or service for which you are designing.
Speaking of what you need your graphic designs to say, be sure that your end statements are benefits, benefits, benefits. What's in it for the customer or viewer. That's what the whole game is about. If you don't speak to how you can solve the customer's problem, how you can bring the client value, then no matter how loud it is, they won't remember or pay attention. It just won't interest them.
And use bold and relevant type to ask the questions or provide solutions. Make it easy to read, and be sure that it visually and emotionally matches the message, the audience you are attempting to reach and the product or service that is being sold. Don't use garbage type in graphic designs intended to speak to a more sophisticated audience, and don't use sleek elegant type to talk to the younger crowd.
So in summary, design to have your graphic designs Shout to their prospective audience. Make sure they can be heard above the visual and verbal din of today's commercial world. Be bold, use color to make noise, engage the mind and talk benefits, benefits, benefits.

The Key to Better Websites - Design, design, design.
To put the wonders of a good design into perspective, imagine a when we are purchasing a T-Shirt. First of all, what do we look at? The design of the T-Shirt, of course. Well most people do, other than the material factor. But let’s assume the all other factors are constant, wouldn’t the design or looks, become the key aspect then?
Design Putting oneself in another individual’s shoes, as usual. Here are another two situations.
Situation A : A website with good design and breathtaking graphics. (Good color schemes with matching theme), pictures. (Optimum resolutions and relevant) and proper fonts and word sizes.
Situation B : A website inversely equipped with hideous graphics and pictures in terms of resolution, quality and relevancy. (Red pictures with a bright green background) Fonts used were not matching albeit too fanciful.
Situation A, visitors that enter the website are immediately awestruck by the design and artwork. The well placed pictures and designs will somewhat symbolizes the positive nature of the company/website. As we know, most people DO judge by impression.
As for Situation B, the shabby environment due to severe lack of creativity and badly taken pictures wouldn’t exactly help in attracting visitors. Fonts that were hard to be read, let alone comprehended, and mismatching themes in terms of color, isn’t exactly welcoming, is it?
Analysis: Now, the main idea here is to always plan your websites, try to get other individuals for feedback and perspectives. Each mindset might differ, but at least you will get room for improvement. Don’t get me wrong, even a plain website with proper design would generate plenty of positive implications, but the key idea here is to at least maintain an impressionable website.

How To Choose A Web Designer That Won't Rip You Off
Choosing a web designer for your business is a minefield. The industry is unregulated, is fragmented, has a wide variety of pricing and is plagued by "cowboys". So how do you choose?
Prices vary tremendously, so first you need to shortlist companies that are clearly reliable and reputable. So how do you do this? Check how long they have been established as Web designers as the industry is known for it’s “here today, gone tomorrow” operations.
A company that has been around for a few years is much likely to be a safer bet than the one man start up that is offering discount prices. Who would you trust more - the car dealership there has been established 10 years or the new one that has just sprouted up last week? hile their website may tell you how long they have been established, this may not necessarily be the correct information. Of course, limited companies will file records at Companies House which you can check to see how long they had been established. However, a far easier and quicker option is to check how long their website domain name has been registered .
You can do this and typing in their Web address into the Whois lookup search box. This gives you information on the registrant, their address and the date the domain was first registered. While this is not entirely foolproof, it does give a good an indication and you should be wary of any company where a domain name is only a year or two old.
Look at their track record. They should have a good portfolio of the sites they have built available to see via their website, as well as customer testimonials. Their portfolio is a good indication of their design skill -- if you like the websites in their portfolio, then they are likely to satisfy you on the design side.
Check the company works from an office. Web design is an industry with a multitude of different operators -- from freelance work at home designers to large new media agencies. If the company works from an office, it is more likely to be still here next year than the guy who just does it from home.
Does the company have online marketing expertise? Look for a company that it is experienced in marketing websites online as they can give you lot of free information to help market your website. Not all designers know about online marketing.
While the above tips are not exhaustive, I hope they go some way to helping you choose a good web designer.

So That's What Goes On A Website Home Page
In the early days of the World Wide Web, the word went around that the thing to do on a home page is to heartily and sincerely welcome the visitor. Today, this is unnecessary, cliched and ineffective. Instead, an effective home page needs to quickly orient the visitor to what the business or professional practice offers, distinguish these offerings from competitors' and direct the web site visitor what to do if they are interested in learning more.
It's especially important to make a strong and clear presentation on the home page if you want perfect strangers coming from a search engine to spend more than 10 seconds on the site when determining whether or not it is relevant to them. Getting business from such strangers is one of the major payoffs of having a web site, and they lack the patience of someone who has already had contact with you or been referred by a trusted source.
Therefore, a home page must make it possible to answer these questions within 10 seconds:
* What is being described or sold here? What kind of business is this?
* Why should I do business with this company rather than its competitors?
* What should I do to find out more or get in touch?
In judging web sites for the Webby Awards, I have seen as many rich, large companies as small ones overlook the first essential for a home page - set the context. Orient the visitor.
The perfect stranger may need to know things that you assume everyone already knows, such as:
1. What business are you in? Include a commonly understood industry name or the generic name of your primary product or service prominently in the home page copy, if it's not already part of your business name or in the tag line. When this information isn't plainly and obviously stated, many visitors are screaming to themselves, "What IS this?" as they hit the back button on their browsers.
2. Who do you serve? So many businesses - banks, restaurants, dentists - leave it unspoken what state or province and even what country they are in when that's essential to someone figuring out whether or not this business meets their needs. When location plays a crucial role in service, make it unmistakable where the business is. Other times, the answer to this question is more subtle. You need to indicate that you work with Fortune 500 companies, or mostly with authors, or with ambitious fitness professionals and health club owners.
3. Why should someone do business with you? The best kind of answer to this question involves presenting the benefits someone gets from buying your products or services. Indeed, I recommend putting such benefits right in your home page headline. For instance, for a caregiving support site I created this headline: With Support, Caregiving Becomes a Rewarding Journey. For a site about a book on outstanding women scientists and artists, the headline read: Learn From Accomplished Women Role Models How to Create a Fulfilling Lifelong Career. Note the inviting tone of these headlines. Within the paragraphs of the home page copy, refer again and again to what customers get and what makes you different from competitors.
4. What should I do next? Even though you provide navigation links for people to choose where to go next at the site, it's effective to say explicitly what someone with such and such an interest should do. Your call to action might have more than one part, such as: To learn more about how Hyana Heights Club helps you stay healthy and fit, click here. To book your free tour and complimentary aerobics class, click here.
Use these guidelines to create or redo a home page, and you'll enjoy a significantly improved response from your web site both from people landing on your site from search engines and those already somewhat interested in what you offer. There's much more involved in turning web site visitors into customers, but you'll certainly thereby have laid the groundwork for a reasonable return on your web site investment.

10 Great Tips On How To Design A Card
2. To begin the design you will need good paper. Look for pre-folded cards or use cardstock and fold your own. Using a bone folder is helpful here because it makes a very nice clean fold. There are several sizes to choose from, make sure you have an envelope to fit or be prepared to make one. There are templates galore for this type of thing.
3. Next choose a sticker or rubber stamp for the image on the front of the card. If using stamps, try different color stamp pads until you get the design and color you like. You can layer the stickers or stamped image on other paper to create a more pleasing design. Try using a combination of plain and matching patterned paper for this step.
4. There are embellishments you can use instead of a stamp or sticker. These are often dimensional and add a lot to the design of your card.
5. Make certain you have appropriate glue. Carefully consider the adhesive you want to use. A glue gun works well for heavy items but will wrinkle most papers. Glue dots and strips are handy for many design gluing jobs. I really like the glue stick that says"heavy duty" on the label, it is good for almost any paper and dries smooth and clear.
6. Design the words next. Think about what you want the card to say. Do you want the greeting or message on the inside or on the front of the card? You can use rubber stamps for this, stickers or computer generated greetings. There are so many fonts available that every card can be unique.
7. Lay your design out on the card before you attach the different elements. Check to make sure it all fits and that you like the design. Glue everything down and making sure all pieces are secure.
8. Now look at the inside of your card. If you are going to put a message there think about layering it on other paper to match the design on the front of your card. Attach these pieces to the inside of the card.
9. Check out the whole card now. Are you happy with the design? Does it need anything extra like colored brads or buttons? Is there part of the design that would look nice colored in with marker, colored pencils, chalks or watercolors?
10. I believe a card is not finished until the fiber is added, both inside and out. Matching colors from the design, take two or three strands of coordinating ribbon, yarn, metallic thread or wire and tie into a knot. Trim the ends so it looks the way you want it. Attach with your glue gun and you are done with the card. The envelop please! To put a final touch on your design decorate the envelop to match the card. Use your markers, chalk, stickers and stamps to create an envelop that is as gorgeous as what’s inside.
In very little time you can create a special and unique card and envelop using your own design.

Website Design…Getting the Strategy Right.
The following tale must repeat itself a thousand times a day across the USA, and there is no telling how many times it happens across the world.
I am asked to attend a lunch with some of the principles of a soon-to-be-launched new venture. One of the principles, to whom I am known, believes that perhaps I could comment on some aspects of the company’s objectives.
As a good friend I return the favor for the lunch by commenting on those areas in which my friend was interested. Before we went our separate ways I asked my hosts what role a website would be playing in this new company?
Their response was heartening: “Our website will play a significant part in assisting us to achieve our objectives.”
How wonderful I thought, and so another question followed. “You have told me that you have contracted with a company to design your site, and that the design is well under way. Has your contractor involved you, or any of your partners, in any strategic discussion on how the site will take advantage of the considerable internet traffic that already exists for this industry?” (I asked this question knowing something about what their new organization was going to be, and how it was going to operate.)
“What do you mean Leo?” was the reply.
The next few minutes uncovered a number of disturbing details, but the most alarming fact of all, was that there had been absolutely no discussion of how this site was going to rank with the search engines, yet the design was well under way.
There had not been, nor was there likely to be, at this stage at least, any review of the strategic opportunities (and they are considerable), that could be exploited by Search Engine Optimization. There had been NO discussion on possible domain names, key search terms, the role of link trading etc. Why? The answer is simple. The company contracted to design the site has no concept of seo. It is neither an seo firm, nor does it have links with an seo firm.
The story would have gone something like this. Several months down the track somebody in this new company would have realized that there was valuable internet traffic that they could exploit. The principals would have come together and asked themselves what could be done about this? They may have even gone back to the company who designed the original site (in reality this company has done nothing unprofessional-they did meet their original contractual obligations), asking them how to accomplish the task of attracting their share of this internet traffic?
The contractor now tells the client that this will require some modification to the website and that they will set up a meeting at which the pertinent factors will be discussed. Hopefully the contractor realizes that in order to meet the company’s new requirements they will need the services of an seo firm? Now the client is involved in discussions that should have taken place months ago, long before the company was launched.
The client’s focus is disrupted, they are involved in additional expense that could have been avoided and they have a less than positive view of a growth industry that is contributing to America’s global market leadership.
The seo message needs champions

Paint Like Monet Using Photoshop Paintbrush Tool
Learning to use the paintbrush in Photoshop is easy with Photoshop Fast Track. You will be creating original works of art within minutes. The Photoshop paintbrush has more uses than you might imagine. When you get good with the paintbrush you will be able to create some awesome graphics.
Photoshop has two types of paintbrushes you will be using.
Airbrush:
The first type of paintbrush available in Photoshop is the airbrush. This paintbrush tool is very much like using a can of spray paint. It virtually sprays the paint onto the image or canvas.
Photoshop gives the user maximum control by allowing you to adjust the diffusion or amount of pain being applied as well as the speed with which it is applied to the canvas. There are also many different brush sizes and shapes you can use.
Paintbrush:
The paintbrush tool is more like using an actual paintbrush and applying paint by hand. Much like using a real paintbrush the virtual paintbrush in Photoshop applies paint in much more even distribution compared with the airbrush tool.
You will have fun experimenting with the different options available for creating digital works of art using the paintbrush in Photoshop.
The best thing about it is that you don’t have to worry about mistakes as you would on a traditional canvas using real paint.
This is especially true if you are working in layers. If you don’t like your results simply delete that layer and try something else.

Getting The Upper Hand With Photoshop Layer Sets
Anyone who plans on spending any length of time wandering the halls of Photoshop should consider learning how Photoshop layer sets work. Layers are crucial to the entire mechanism of Photoshop design and enhancement.
The Photoshop “Layers” palette maintains a precise history of all your keystrokes… so you don’t have to remember anything.
Layers can be likened to your command post, so it behooves you to spend some time in there. Let’s take a brief look around right now.
Hmm, looks complicated, doesn’t it? Well, unlike a lot of other functions inside Photoshop, Layers really is pretty simple.
Basically, it isolates different sections or transformations so you can work on them without affecting the rest of the image.
Which really comes in handy when you find yourself up against the wall and need to start that particular enhancement over: just throw that layer away.
Your Photoshop Layers box will automatically create a new layer for you for some changes, but you can also create a new yourself.
On your top menu bar, click “Layer,” then “New.” You’ll see a brand new, empty layer appear inside your Layers box. Notice that it has been highlited and the “background,” or original, layer is not.
The highlighted layer is the active layer, meaning that’s the one you’re presently working on. To activate a different layer, simply click on it, and Photoshop highlights (activates) it for you.
Becoming aware of this one function is essential for successfully working in layers.
(Note: Photoshop CS2 lets you activate multiple layers.)
Once you have a few layers inside your Layers dialog box, try clicking the eyeballs next to each one.
You’ll see that in this way you can visually isolate layers so you can tell exactly what it is you’re working on.
At times, you will find yourself creating many, many layers for a single image. When that happens, it gets difficult to find the layer you want to affect.
The solution to this problem lies in creating groups, or “layer sets.” Grouping layers allows you to place them into a folder. (In Photoshop CS, first link the layers, then choose “New Set from Linked” on the side menu of the Layers box.)
In Photoshop 7, you create a group by choosing each one, then clicking “Group with Previous” inside your Layer option in the top menu. Or you can click the tiny folder icon at the bottom of the Layers palette and drag the layers into that layer when it appears, then click the collapse arrow to the left of the set folder to hide the layers inside the folder.
If you want to get rid of the set folder later, highlight it, then click Layer, Delete, Set, then choose either “Set and Contents” or “Set Only.”
Some versions of Photoshop require you to choose your layers and then “Shift-Click” on the bottom folder icon to create a set folder. In Photoshop CS2, you can align layers by choosing View > Show > Smart Guides.
Like all the other fabulous Photoshop functions, Layers offers almost limitless ways to affect your photos and the way you maneuver around inside Photoshop itself.

4 Stages of Website Design
Stage 2 - Designing for online visibilityIn Stage 2, the reality of an ineffective web design begins to hit, usually around 3-6 months after the initial launch. A site will typically get rejected by many of the major directories, not be indexed by the major search engines, or not get the traffic or sales that were projected based on the various types of marketing strategies used. Typically, that's when companies decide that they will try to hire a professional online marketer to promote the site. Doorway page companies, in some way, shape or form, rear their ugly heads. Unfortunately, many web site owners fall for a doorway page company's pitch because the beautifully designed site couldn't possibly be the problem with low site traffic. Yahoo might have rejected a site, or the site might have been listed in Yahoo and the company cannot understand why they have no description next to their company name. But in no way would many ad agencies or doorway page companies want to tell potential clients the truth -- they simply did not design and write an effective web site -- because it would mean losing thousands of pounds in business
Stage 3 - Designing for your audienceBy Stage 3, after spending an exorbitant amount of money on pretty web site designs and various marketing strategies, web site owners generally figure out that they did not design or write an effective Web site for their target audience. Typically, web site owners will bring in a usability expert to analyze potential problems and present various solutions. Bringing in a search engine marketing expert to help with search-engine friendly web designs &templates early in the design phase can save a company thousands of pounds in online marketing costs.
Stage 4 - Site redesign After careful usability and search engine visibility analyses, web site owners finally have an effective web site. A site that is written, coded and designed for user friendliness and search engine visibility generally gets the most traffic and resulting sales because it was written, programmed, and designed for end users.
Web sites should always be designed with your target audience in mind, not your own personal preferences. Colours have meaning. Professional designers understand the psychology of colour and the use of white space to best project the image your audience wishes to see. (For example, try not to use the colour red on a financial site.) Understanding the products / services / information your target audience is searching for is paramount to designing and maintaining an effective web site. When you launch a site, you might have to make an educated guess as to what your target audience wants. After that, tools such as site statistics software and reporting from site searches tell you exactly what your visitors are looking for. Then content and marketing strategies can be adjusted accordingly. Unless the advanced technology clearly benefits end users, do not use it on your site. If your venture capitalists or CEO's or lawyers like the site, ask if they are going to spend the thousands or millions of pounds to keep you in business.
They're not. Your target audience who will ultimately determine the success or failure of your site.

Internet solutions and web design solutions.
Any company needs to have a web site. But how can it be developed? And who can do it?
On the net there are plenty of web design teams. You can also find nice templates if you like. But this will not solve your problem. In many cases a company needs a dynamic website, good looking and full featured.
Such sites are very hard to find and you will need a custom software development company to program the back end.
When you intend to hire such companies to design your web site you need to know exactly what features needs to be integrated in the back end and linked to the layout. The design of the web site will be done based on the back end. The web design must be W3C standard compliant to be compatible to most of the web browsers.
The back end can be coded in many programming languages such as PHP or ASP but then the site must be installed on a compatible server. Use javascript only for small features and web design not for the entire site engine. If you don't do this, many of the pages will not be indexed correctly by search engines.
Note that your site needs to be optimised for search engines. This can be done with a good web page design, easy to be crawled.

Your Website As A Virtual Office
A good website serves as the virtual office of an online business and as such should be able to present a good impression to the potential customer. Just like any other office, it should be “uncluttered”, clean and pleasant to the eye. With just a single click, it should be able to provide the visitor or customer with the vital information he or she is seeking for. And this is possible by creating a website free from excessive trimmings, from unnecessary graphics and animations.
Slow loading sites due to heavy graphics are comparable to an unattended store where customers are waiting in line to be served. There’s a great probability that customers would transfer to other stores rather than cool their heels waiting. This would mean losses in terms of sales. Just like an office space, the interiors should be pleasant and cool to the eyes. This could be achieved by using complementary colors and decorations. This is also true in a website; the background should be lighter to give emphasis to the darker text. This way, the site is made more reader friendly. Nothing is more distracting than a website with glaring colors, with jumping animations and with bouncing banners. These are sure customer turn-offs.
Serving as an online store, the website should be able to provide unobstructed view of the merchandise offered. Using the simple Times New Roman and Arial for the text is most advisable as well as using bold letters and underlining words to give emphasis to key points. This would surely draw the attention of readers.
An office or a place of business will reflect the personality of the company-meaning a beautifully kept office with carefully tended grounds would mean that owners are serious with the business and that they are ready to give the optimum service to customers. The same is true with an online business. A website that is visually appealing to the visitors would draw more traffic thus increasing the chances of attracting customers. This would also mean that the webmaster is serious with his business and have taken great pains to ensure that the site have a professional look. Moreover this would mean that the website owner have used programs that made the creation of the website faster and easier. Attracting visitors is easy with professional looking websites and shopping would be a pleasure because of the security it provides to the customers.

Building Your First Website - Things You Need To Know
Do you have a small business or idea that you would like to get on the web? This article will explain the basic steps to get your business or idea on the web.
There are many free ways to get an online presence but the best way is by having your own, unique, web site. There are a few thinks you will need to get this web site online but they are not very complicated or expensive.
The first thing you need is a domain name. A domain name is the address that you put in the address bar of your web browser. It usually looks something like http://imtiaztips.blogspot.com/. This is a unique name you will use to identify your business from the rest of the world.
The next thing you will need is web hosting. This is a service that lets you have a place to upload files and display them to the world when someone goes to your web site.
Once you have your domain name and web hosting set up, the real work begins. You will need to design a web site. There are any number of tools you can use to create a web site, such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft FrontPage, Notepad, or another similar program. Designing a web site requires, at least, some knowledge of HTML (or XHTML). HTML and XHTML are static scripting languages that you use to tell your web browser how to show your information. There are other languages you can use to create web sites such as PHP, ASP, and ColdFusion. These languages are more complicated and are used to create dynamic sites and interface with databases.
Designing a web site can be a daunting task. There is always the option of having a design company create you web site for you but that can cost quite a pretty penny. Another option is to install a pre-made web site script that you can administer from a simple administration. Some of these script include Mambo, phpWebsite, e107, and many more. A script like this, usually, still requires some knowledge of HTML and/or web design because they are highly configurable and require a bit of tweaking to make it look the way you want.
It may sound complicated to start a web site but it really isn’t. All you need to do is take a bit of time to read some tutorials and examples, that are freely available on the web. You can learn the basics in no time completely free of charge.

Web Page Design is a Reflection of Your Business
Consider this scenario. You're considering patronizing a certain business, and decide to look it up on the Internet before making your final decision. Up pops their website and it looks like someone went berserk with a web design program. The fonts are either unreadable or the text is so large that it screams at you. The colors clash or are so bright that they hurt your eyes. The pictures are out of focus or so large that the page takes forever to load. Hyperlinks lead nowhere, and the site navigation leaves you perplexed. In a split second, you know that you'll never give this company your business.
This may be an exaggeration, but we've all seen bad web site designs. They infect the Web like a bad head cold that won't let go. You can't help but wonder what the business owner was thinking. After all, why have a website if it reflects poorly on your company or actually drives customers away?
Often, small- and medium-sized business owners aren't aware of the impact that their websites have on customers and potential customers. They may know that having a web site is important, but think that professional webpage design is cost prohibitive. So, they conclude that their child, neighbor, or spouse can put something together and that it will be "good enough." Or, ten years ago they may have actually paid a professional web page designer and having done any modifications for years.
In today's business world, there's no getting around the fact that your web page design is a reflection of your business. Whether yours is an e-commerce site, a lead generation site, or simply a small informational website, you need to put your best (virtual) foot forward and project an image that puts your business in the best possible light. Keep in mind that, if you don't have a good website, your competition probably does and is siphoning customers away from you.
If you've hesitated hiring a business web page designer because of cost considerations, it's time to think again. Unless you need a highly customized, programming intensive site, a web designer isn't going to break the bank. In fact, there are web page design firms that specialize in helping small- to medium-sized businesses succeed in their online endeavors.
Today, a website designer can economically provide you with hundreds of templates from which to choose. These templates come in a variety of styles that are appropriate for a wide range of businesses. A professional web page designer can easily customize templates, giving them images and graphics that will make your website unique.
In addition, a web page design company can provide you with a suite of options that will help you develop your online business. These tools might include a shopping cart, an SSL certificate, free hosting, email accounts, domain registration, and even marketing strategies.
If you don't already have a website, your business needs an online presence. If you haven't updated the design of your company website in two years or more, it's time to consult with a web page design company. And, if you happen to have one of the nightmarish sites that turn potential customers away, it's time to look forward, turn over a new leaf, and hire a professional web page designer.

Learn some advanced speedy little tricks
The very newest of the Photoshop tutorials is the lesson on replacing color. This will teach you not only how to replace color throughout the image, but how to go about replacing a series of the same color in various shades with the same kind of color gradient in a different color.
You can take part in this Photoshop tutorial from the vendor’s Web site or can download it as a PDF and read it at your leisure. Should you have no Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer you’ll need that to use the PDF but it’s easily downloaded from the site at no charge in just a few quick seconds.
Another of the clever Photoshop tutorial lessons is the means to form your Photoshop text in a circle. This circular text formatting has traditionally called for a vector but the version 5 lets you create your circular text with much more ease, and no vector. This Photoshop tutorial, as with the other advanced training programs, can be read online or with a downloadable PDF.
For those of you who like the creative effect of a curling page you can learn how to do this with a Photoshop tutorial as well. In the same lessons you can learn to use Adobe paths and to create gradients of your own. One whimsical little Adobe Photoshop trick taught through tutorials is called flag in the wind. Created at the request of several Photoshop users who logged onto Usenets, the technique teaches photographers how to use Photoshop’s displace filter to create the look of a breezy movement.
Once the above techniques have been mastered additional advanced Photoshop tutorials teaching things like custom interfaces, and the quick photo effects of masking. One of the fun uses for this tactic is to take one head and place it on the body of another person.
Everyone needs that technique right?
Some of the Photoshop tutorials are specific to materials and fabric. Tutorial number nine, for example, teaches the use of Adobe Photoshop with metal, while the next lesson number ten teaches the use of wood as a Photoshop material.
Textured spheres and round buttons can be designed with Photoshop with any material once you’ve taken the basic materials lessons. Wood texture tutorials teach bevel and button creations, while metal textures can be used for interfaces as well. GIF lessons are important additions to your Photoshop basic tutorials. GIFs are not that easy to master, but their transparency is the reason they’re still important.
You can tackle runny text lessons in advanced tutorials too. Just in case you have a bent for the bloody, say at Halloween time, you can learn this point and click technique with Photoshop classes. Other advanced Photoshop tutorials teach gold and raised text creation, soft text with a beveled look and an alien skin, chrome and textured 3-D text, and layered masking.
